Hi, I’m RondÉ.
I go by Dae, as I got older my name felt sacred & a bit too personal. People have the idea that knowing your name associates with knowing you. Dae is simply a play off of my name & family nickname Dé-Dé. It simply aligns with the women I’ve become.
I am 25 years young and a cancer (July 3rd). I am a devoted and proud mother of two babies. A boy & a girl, you will eventually meet both or one or the other. My daughter has taught me so much from 18 & my son even more at 24. I have always had the drive to work hard, surpass hurdles, & put my all into all that I do. Being their mother has lit a fire under my ass like no other.
Having my daughter working at stop & shop was undeniably the hardest thing to do. The breast engorgement lol and time away from her in addition to childcare conflict, pushed me to pursue braiding. It took off & I was not good, but hey.
I offered every braided service there was because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do. Six years established,3 business names later, 3 years LLC owned. I’ve perfected one craft — knotless braids & learned all there is to learn to perfect this one craft. I feel complete when connecting with people and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction, knowing I helped make someone feel heard & seen is my mission.
My goals consist of continuing to be self-lead and driven. Owning my own orthodontic practice after my 10 year bid at the University of Connecticut studying Molecular & Cell Biology. While maintaining a happy & healthy family, breaking generational differences. I work exceptionally hard for my Brother, my children, and most importantly myself. Peace has always been my end game. We all deserve to be happy to have woken up.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!
I believe

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV)
"The one thing I know for sure is that I’m a woman, I’m black, and I’m an artist. I have the ability to change the world."

Dream it
I dream of a family who feels loved & protected by me. Trusts & confides in me, children who WANT to be like me, & only better. Not because I failed or raised them poorly, but because they take my greatness I’ve gifted to them and make it brighter & powerful..
Build it
Through all that I have been through I remain strong. I have my weaknesses— I bend but never break. I continue to challenge myself and surprise myself all at once & plan to continue to do so. Building my version of a beautiful life. I want to thank you for choosing Daejavu’s Chair because this is only the seed that's been planted,
